Juvenile diabetes also called Type 1 diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes is a disorder, commonly diagnosed in children, that disturbs the body's immune system. Juvenile diabetes occurs when the body's Beta cells which produce Insulin are destroyed. Therefore, it is essential for juvenile diabetics to take insulin from external sources all their life.
Except for its characteristic to be genetic in nature, other causes of the juvenile diabetes are unknown. Poor socio-economic conditions don't permit the parents of juvenile diabetics to administer adequate medication to their child which lead to damage of various body organs.
